leopard print

Leopard print …for those who don’t want plain

Every wardrobe needs a bit of leopard, it is timeless, versatile and very chic. Leopard print is one of those subjects that divides people, some think it is fun and glamorous, others think it is cheap and tasteless. I for one am absolutely in the first group …I love leopard.
This print will never go out of style, it is a must have that you can wear all year round. It is the perfect print that can dress an outfit in an instant.

restaurant Lof Ghent

Restaurant Lof: classic dishes with a twist

Big colourfull striped seating area in the middle of the room, cosy and tasteful interior, a big trendy bar and very friendly staff, all add to the charming ambiance found from the minute you step into Lof, the gourmet restaurant of Reylof hotel in Ghent. The atmosphere in the restaurant allowed us to feel at ease.

For our starter at the Lof restaurant, we tried the marinated tuna with avocado and cucumber.
The dish had an unexpected twist to the taste which made it a pure surprise for our tastebuds. It was a wonderful start of the dinner.

hotel 1898 The Post

1898 The Post, an enchanting and magical place

I simply love staying in a hotel that is housed in an old historic building and breaths the atmosphere of days gone by. I prefer the words “restored” and “renovated” in press releases announcing new openings rather than “brand new” and “contemporary”.
Just call me “old school” when it comes to staying in hotels.

I mention this with a purpose, last summer a new boutique hotel opened in Ghent.
1898 The Post, near the Graslei and Korenmarkt. The neogotic building dates back to 1898 and was built as the post offices of Ghent, hence the name of the hotel.

Statement earrings

Statement Earrings: Don’t settle for basic

Statement earrings are not really known for their simplicity and they are certainly never boring … they will turn heads. They will bring instant glitz and glamour to an outfit.

I find that they are easy to wear and they go with everything from a simple black dress to a pair of jeans with sneakers. You can wear them with your hair up, hair down or just like me with short hair. Nothing can totally transform your look like a pair of “killer” earrings. It is also the easiest way for updating your wardrobe, statement earrings are your new best friend!
